Network Engineer I - III

Essential Duties:  Ability to work in a team environment with more senior engineers. Ability to demonstrate experience in either LAN or WAN Communications.  Possess a basic understanding of communications sizing requirements based upon communications network loading requirements is required.  Possess an understanding of the implication of encryption on the communications link requirements is considered a plus.  Assists in conducting site surveys. Documents current site network configuration and user requirements.  Assists in designing network topologies.  May provide guidance and direction to other junior staff in the development of the requirements, specifications, and interface documents.  Possess expertise in either LAN or WAN Communications.  Possess an understanding of communications sizing requirements based upon communications network loading requirements is required.  Skilled in the clear derivation of requirements relating to communications control, as well as the associated software support requirements is desired.  Manage the development of communication modeling to support requirements analysis is required.  Possess an understanding of the implication of encryption on the communications link requirements is considered a plus.  Conducts site surveys. Assesses and documents current site network configuration and user requirements. Designs and optimizes network topologies.

Qualifications:

Network Engineer I Bachelor’s Degree
Network Engineer II Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years experience
Network Engineer III Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years experience
